This is the best of American lines and the best of the German lines combined.
AKC and NAVHDA registered. Puppies were whelped on June 29th. 8 puppies (4 male and 4 female) were born all healthy strong and beautiful (no runt). There is quite a variety of color shades and markings in this litter. All are variations of liver, white ticking and roaning.
Sire: Behnke vom Bergland (Skeet) 25" tall and 60 lbs., NA prize 1, Ut prize 1, hips OFA Good, DNA certified, / Dam: Aeress vom Stillwater 23" tall and 50 lbs., NA prize 1, UT prize 2, hips OFA preliminary exam excellent, DNA certified.
Their mother (Aeress) is awesome and very easy to handle. She scored a perfect score in her first NA test at just 6 months of age. At 9 months of age she was steady to wing shot and fall. At 18 months she scored a UT prize 2 (it would have been a prize 1 if her handler wasn't there (me). She is medium ranging but very fast and snappy in the field, and loves to tear up the water in search of wounded ducks. Both of the mothers parents are Versatile Champions and they come from a long line of great dogs.
Their father (Skeet) was my first GSP and he taught me. Seriously, he was so smart that I didn't have to do any training. He just instinctively knew how to do everything. He is a NA prize 1 dog also and a UT prize 1. We ran in the NAVHDA Invitational but had to pull out do to an injury. I left there feeling very confident that Skeet could have aced the test. Skeet is as solid of a pointer as I've ever seen. He has the ability to mark several birds and his retrieving is phenomenal. Skeet hasn't lost a bird on land or water in 4 years. Skeet comes from a huge line of German champions. KS title is the highest title a dog can receive in Germany and Skeet's pedigree is packed full of KS titles.
These puppies to be naturally gifted. I believe that puppies learn even before they're born. While Aeress was still carrying the puppies she was still searching fields, pointing, tracking and retrieving birds. Up until the evening that she gave birth Aeress was still doing duck searches.
