It's been a while since I posted but I still read now and again. Life has just been busy the last couple of years.
Some of you may remember the picture of a little chocolate Lab pup I posted a while ago. Well, she's 3 years old now and I'm looking for a chocolate stud. My Bonnie girl is a nice 55 lb Lab with UK ancestry, a great nose, great temperament and a excellent bird sense. I use her almost exclusively for rough shooting pheasant. She's a wonderful family Lab as well as a fine field Lab.
I'm looking for a smallish chocolate male with similar characteristics, particularly one with UK ancestry to use as her stud.
Wildrose Kennels here in the states imports UK labs and they offer this FTAW Colonel Nut of Grangemead at stud. This dog was imported into the US in 2003.
Part of their blurb on this dog is:
Bruce is the only British Field Trial Award winning chocolate labrador ever to have been exported from the United KingdomHas anyone ever seen him work? His lineage is Grangemead Woodlark X Tonybee Spring Time.
Any thoughts?
