We started a bit late because he initially had some leg problems at about 4/5 months and had to concentrate on basic obedience until he was better.<br><br>I have never done any gun dog training before but Hux seems to need the extra challenge. I MOSTLY have the sit and stay, recall and heel sorted, I can now stop him at a fair distance - something I wondered if I ever would manage. I have established heeling on a loose lead using food lures in the garden, and she will walk a short way down the road.  If she pulls ahead I just stop and either lure her back to the heel or wait for her to come back, which she does as the penny is dropping that we don't move on until she is in the right position.  This seems to be working okay and I want to achieve heelwork with these positive methods rather than a) developing a pull... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ HELP, I am in so much trouble with the wife. I have taken Bear to the vet and had him checked out. No problems found. The vet said Bear is an overly aggressive male Lab. He said he has seen a lot of Lab but never one with this much aggressiveness. The vet suggest to put him down. He feels that neutering will not help. We have two grandchildern to look after. Are blinds just not set in thick cover for retriever WTs?
