We are now taking deposits for two upcoming litters out of "Long Hollow's Quilemene Sun" and "Long Hollow's Habenero"....Both of these great females are granddaughters of 3XCH "Tekoa Mountain Patriot"......Both litter are by "Long Hollow's Performer" who is a son of CH "Berg Brother's Jack".....

Hello Old Friends!

It's been a while since I posted but I still read now and again. Life has just been busy the last couple of years.

Some of you may remember the picture of a little chocolate Lab pup I posted a while ago. Well, she's 3 years old now and I'm looking for a chocolate stud. My Bonnie girl is a nice 55 lb Lab with UK ancestry, a great nose, great temperament and a excellent bird sense. I use her almost exclusively for rough shooting pheasant....

It is long time ago,when Abercrombie&Fitch died,but if here is people who knew him(or his descendants) i'll be appreciated.

Could anyone here tell me what is the main purpose by breeding pointing Labradors?

How do the pointing Labradors gain their pointing instinct?

Are they comparable as a pointer to traditional pointers and setters?

Is it possible that their pointing instinct can have negative affect on their traditional retriever hunting ability's?

Looking through the shooting press I now have a good idea of the going price for a Labrador puppy from good working stock with all the appropriate papers etc.

I`m happy to accept that the Lab is the yardstick against which all other retrieving breeds are judged.

I`m at a bit of a loss to understand why the breeders of some of the so called "rare breeds", frequently breeds unable to compete with the humble lab in field performance terms, seem to offer them for sale...

Is there an age limit on registering dog with KC?

I have recently been told that our 12 month old dog is too old to be registered with the kennel club is that so?

We aquired our Chocolate lab from friends of friends who no longer wanted him (at 10 weeks old). Apparently they were told he was a pedigree by the breeders who's number I have (at least it is here somewhere in the boxes ready to move!)
In the meantime I have heard that some years ago chocolates were not considered a true breed.

There also seems to be very few choc labs represented in hunting and show as far as I can see. Is there a reason for this?
